The start is from the former mining block (Colibița), Colbul Valley area, behind which the blue triangle mark will be followed and athletes will have to run approximately 5 km of track to Bistriciorul Peak.
The trail climbs quite steeply on a forested area, crossing several meadows and forests of spruce, reaching Rescue cottage. From here it continues to climb and gets to the crest, where it orientates towards the top left, reaching Bistriciorul Peak (1,990 m). From here the athletes will descend to Bistriciorul saddle, having Stracior Peak (1,963 m) in front of them, where the ridge is noticed, which comes from Pietrosul Călimani (2,100 m) and continues on the path leading to Peak Străcior. The trail continues to the northwest, arriving at a flatter terrain, followed by a slight climb towards the Peak Viisorul. From here the trail is marked with a red strip and takes the athletes to Poiana Dălbidan, where it is reached a road of historical resonance, Maria Theresia, followed by a descent to Poiana Terha and then a short climb of about 800 meters long until Peak Buba (1,670 m). The trail descends through spruce forest, towards Poiana Ciunga Vadanei (1,406 m) and Poiana Prelucilor (1,265 m). From here it begins the ascent to the Peak Cornului (1,502) which it is not reached; the trail enters on another contour line. For the next 1.5 km the athletes are following a gentle descent through the forest to an opening with a sheepfold. There is another slight descent and a short climb, leading to Canton Forest Tihuţa Colibiţa – the finish line of the contest. The half marathon trail is considered difficult because of some rocky sections and the cumulated altitude of about 1,470 m.
